Wir haben ja schon vor einiger Zeit über die Zusammenarbeit von Swizz Beatz mit Reebok berichtet und jetzt gibt es wieder Neuigkeiten über die Kollabo. Auf dem Foto oben seht ihr Rick Ross, Newcomer Meek Mills und Swizz Beatz. Was so besonders daran ist? Rick Ross und Swizz Beatz haben schicke und noch unbekannte Colorways des Kamikaze III in der Hand, passend zu ihren Outfits natürlich. Der Schnappschuss soll beim Videodreh von Meek Mills gemacht worden sein. In seinem “I´m a Boss (Remix)” sind die beiden nämlich Feature-Rapper, zusammen mit Lil´Wayne und dessen Mentor Birdman. Liar liar, pants of fire!
Reebok really got burnt on this one. Ouch!
Remember that Reebok launched its revolutionary EasyTone sneakers about two years ago, which were as revolutionary as you can imagine.
With scientifically proven technologies and groundbreaking designs, they were supposed to get your buttocks up to 28 percent firmer.
Now who on earth could pass on such an opportunity?
Not many, as it turns out. The sales of EasyTone and RunTone were skyrocketing and Reebok kept pumping millions of dollars in promotional campaigns that promised that magic 28 percent improvement.
Well, as time passed and more and more people got in on that, complaints started coming in. It seemed that the magic sneakers weren’t delivering the results promised.
If it were just one consumer complaining, they could have simply sent her off claiming she didn’t wear the shoes according to the specifications. But that wasn’t the case. There wasn’t just one unhappy customer. There were hundreds.

Well, the situation finally got to the ears of the FTC who started an investigation.
Surprise!
Following the examination, the FTC concluded that the EasyTone shoes were no more effective in toning your buttocks than just about any other sports shoe out there. At best, they were only somewhat more comfortable during exercise than the competition.
And the science behind the shoe? The one that got the magic number 28? There was none. It was something cooked up by marketing to make it sound believable.
What this means is that Reebok was fined 25 million dollars for making false claims in their advertisement.
Ouch!
Reebok is now supposed to refund the money to any unhappy customer. Also, they’re not allowed to make unproven claims in their future promotional campaigns.
Watch out Skechers or MBT, because they’re coming after you next!
MBT was the first firm to catch on this trend, back in 2005. They launched a line of sneakers with seriously misshaped soles that would work your back muscles and help you improve your posture. They were even featured on Dr. Phil.
The next were the Skechers ShapeUps which I thought were a complete copy of MBT. They’re also selling great, but they should be a little more careful about their claims from now on
What’s to learn from all of this?
I think we should all understand that a pair of sneakers is just a piece of clothing that helps you exercise. It’s not gong to magically reshape your body doing nothing.
It was not the Puma Street Yaam shoes that won Usain Bolt the title of “Fastest man on Earth”. It was his talent, exercise and of course, genetics.
Don’t put your trust into some magic products.

Der low-cut Sneaker mit dem futuristischen Look kommt in zwei Farbkombinationen: vibrant yellow/black mit roten Akzenten und blue/black mit Akzenten von beige und orange. Reebok keeps on developing their ZigTech Sneakers. By the looks of things, they will surely be among the best-sold shoes this year.
They are coming out with the new ZigTech Sonic sneaker next week, showing to everyone that this is the shoe of the future, as they see it at Reebok.
The first time I saw the ZigTech I was convinced that it was one of the ugliest sneakers to ever see the light of day. I just could not imagine anyone in the right mind wearing something like that. The sole alone seemed to me to be taken from some kid’s fantasy.
But, as I’ve seen last week that even Giorgio Armani chose to give it a touch of class, I’m beginning to think that I was wrong and that this model may be just one of those extraordinary things that you can’t really appreciate when you first see them.

PHP FreelancerNow that I’m waiting for the first signs of spring to get out there and stretch the winter out of me, one of the models in the ZigTech line might just end up as my running sneaker of choice.
The ZigTech Sonic is coming out next week at FootLocker and, my God, it looks awesome. Just look at it.. I never thought I would ever be saying that, but they’ve won me over.

If you´re a movies fan, you´re probably gonna like these kicks. As part of their “Cinema Pack” which already includes Purple Rain and TRON inspired colorways, Reebok is dropping a new set of sneakers channeling the adventurous styling of George Lucas’ Indiana Jones. One of the shoes included in the Indiana Jones set is the BB 4600 Hi, which is seen here in a denim and brown leather look reminiscent of the rugged wardrobe of the film series’ protagonist. The red-to-yellow gradient effect on the inner lining is symbolic of the official Indiana Jones logo, while a carved graphic on the tongue serves as a call-out to the classic flicks as well. Metallic gold accents branding and various details throughout; below, an off-white midsole and gum rubber outsole complete the look. Be sure to check out the detailed pics after the jump.

It looks like Reebok’s most advanced running shoe to date, the ZigTech, is getting a major makeover from none other than the grand daddy of all fashion designers, Giorgio Armani.
I’ve mentioned in the past how the Reebok ZigTech sneaker is not really one of the type of shoes I’d see myself wearing any time soon, and I still stand by that. But it grew up on me lately. Maybe it’s the whole marketing or who knows.
Learning that Giorgio Armani himself is involved with this model definitely gave me a serious reason to start trusting the model.
Ok, so word’s out that the new spring/summer EA7 collection of Emoporio Armani will include special editions of the ZigPump, ZigLace and ZigTech Nano models, exclussively for women.
They won’t feature any structural changes. Only the colors and, sure, the materials. But the whole technology behind them will be intact.

Not much of a makeover, I must say. I can do the same with spray paint. Makes me think that Armani was on vacation and the secretary did the job instead…
That aside, you’ll now be able to do your regular run in the park and look great at the same time. (Disregard my previous remarks, I started liking the model now:) )
The story of its performance is the same as with the base models: The zig-zag sole picks up all the energy from the energy from the impact and transfers it back to the feet so that the runner can use only half the usual energy necessary for the same track. I never tried them, but I may do it soon.
