The number of releases when it comes to sneakers by Vans has been presented in such a huge gamut. The ideal examples of this would be the Vans Classic Authentic Hemp, the Grid Era, and the Warped Collection. To add to this, we have yet another that was made in collaboration with Rick Griffin. This is called the Vans E-Street. It is already available in selected retailers.
What composes majority of these sneakers would be the erratic and numerously colored schemes of Rick Griffin which can be seen on the base of this E-Street. It is made up of psychedelic art and other unique elements that are apparent on its uppers.
It also uses multiple hues of green and blue along with some hints of black appearing on the shoelaces and the interior lining of the sneakers. Finally, there is a white and vulcanized rubber sole where the entire sneakers sit.

I used to write for the Major League Baseball jerseys and now I can’t still believe that even on a shoe blog I am still hunted by the past. I am not saying that I don’t like my past job because in fact I love it. However, baseball is still quite far-fetched for me that’s why having things that can remind me of the game is a good thing. We already saw the Vans silhouette featuring other MLB team such as east coast Boston Red Sox and west coast Chicago White Sox. Now let’s look at the Oakland Athletics’ version of the Vans Vault Chukka LX. This particular sneaker utilized suede of black color for its base as well as the typical white, vulcanized sole. The uppers has a grey piping along the midfoot and inner lining while the Oakland A’s logo can be found on the lateral side. Is baseball really for men? Well, they absolutely look good with the caps on and wearing catching gloves. Now, did you know that Michael Jordan also played baseball? Oakland A’s fans will be able to hit up Berkley sneaker boutique Bows & Arrows and grab a pair of limited edition Vans Chukka LX X MLB Oakland A’s edition kicks on April 5th at 11 AM. The A’s edition will be part of several other MLB Chukka’s including the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox.
The recognizable A’s color scheme is run throughout the sneakers, topped off with the A’s logo. In addition, an Oakland A’s Majestic jersey will release in conjunction with the launch of the sneakers.

Some of what the Vans brand had in store for us in 2010 included a Spring City Pack, that picked up where City Packs of the past left off. This time around, however, Vans honors the city of Chicago in a slightly different way. Vans has decided to team up with Major League Baseball to the tune of a collection of Vans sneakers commemorating opening day of different MLB teams. Pictured here is a Vans Vault Chukka LX that has been done-up in the Chicago White Sox theme. As of now, this sneaker is limited to twelve pairs, with a matching baseball jersey, and will be made available next Monday, April 5th, from one specific location. Have you seen the California Collection? If not then you have not seen Vans Supercorsa in its five new Italian cycling rider-inspired colorways. All with white soles, the sneakers in canvas have colors in green, black, pink, rose and white. But that’s not all, because each sneaker represents its rider that can have either a negative of positive connotation. For examples, the white is worn by the Best Young Rider, rose by the Leader, pink by the Best Sprinter and green is by King of the Mountains. The black one just signifies the negative one.

Vans launched this March a new sneaker design contest called “ Vans Custom Culture”, aimed at US high school kids. One of the goals if the program is to grow the awareness or high school art programs, especially now when the budgets or art are shrinking so much, and also inspire emerging talents.
The contest will culminate with a free trip to Los Angeles with all expenses covered for artists coming from four of the participating schools, where they will participate in an art showcase.
The registration started in March 1 and the participants receive four pairs of Vans sneakers on which to display their artistic talent. Besides the expo in Los Angeles, all designs will be made public in an online gallery. The winners will receive a generous amount of Vans products and also a 10000$ donation for their school’s art budget.
