Urban Research iD x New Balance 1700 LE

Filed Under (New Balance) by sneaker-mag on 28-01-2010

Urban Research iD x New Balance 1700 LE
We have already seen New Balance’s innovative efforts this year through releases such as the “Sonic Pack,” where a seamless upper is executed on the 574 silhouette. Moreover, the 410 sneaker model has also been reworked into a slimmer design. This time around the New Balance team has decided to pull together with Urban Research iD from Japan to create the 1700 pictured here. It comes with a smooth, black suede upper contrasted with a predominantly white midsole. Very nice turquoise accents can be found scattered throughout the entire shoe, which will perhaps single-handedly win certain sneaker enthusiasts over. You can find this limited edition pair on sale through select overseas retailers now.

Nike Air Max 90 White/Obsidian

Filed Under (Nike Air Max 90) by sneaker-mag on 28-01-2010

Nike Air Max 90 WhiteObsidian
We just showed you a neon green pair of the Nike Air Max Modular 95, but it’s still too soon to get a real feel for how it will be greeted by sneaker fans worldwide. The Nike Air Max 90, however, needs no introduction. Pictured here is a pair in a predominantly white upper with obsidian accents on the heel, Nike swoosh, and end of the shoe laces area. Looking rather crisp due to the white leather and sharp obsidian color, you might not WANT to use this running shoe for what it’s been originally designed. One could just buy another pair, though; since this Nike Air Max 90 is available now from select Nike retailers.

adidas Originals ZX8000 Grey/Purple

Filed Under (Adidas) by sneaker-mag on 28-01-2010

adidas Originals ZX8000 GreyPurple
Last year the ZX8000 sneaker model from adidas continued to release in a flurry of colorways, including those that commemorated the Boston Marathon. This year the adidas Originals ZX8000 does not seem to show any signs of slowing down. The pair pictured here sports a grey and very light purple colorway, while both suede and patent leather are used on the upper. In fact, while a darker, shinier grey is seen where patent leather is used, a lighter shade of grey is seen on the grained suede areas. This colorway of the adidas staple is finished off with a purple/grey midsole and black outsole. Keep your eyes peeled for this release at select adidas Originals accounts if you like what you see, which you can see more of after the jump.

Nike Air Max Modular 95 SI Neon Green
It probably goes without saying, but the single favorite Nike Air Max 95 of so many sneakerheads has for since its original release been the famous neon green pair. While that pair is again rumored to release this year- overseas and/or stateside- a newly developed Nike Air Max concoction you can expect to see this year is the Nike Air Max Modular 95 pictured here in that very neon green colorway. As some of you should be able to tell, this silhouette is a hybrid between the Nike Air Max 95 and Classic BW. Moreover, a Nike Air Max Modular 98 has also been mentioned among the 2010 Nike releases yet to come. Let us know how you feel about this newest Nike hybrid after the jump.

Air Jordan 2010 “W3lcome Home”

Air Jordan 2010 W3lcome Home
Jordan Brand made perhaps the biggest signing since His Airness himself when they welcome Dwyane Wade to the family. And the newest member did not waste any time to make his presence felt, leading the campaign for the new Air Jordan 2010. Since its introduction, the Air Jordan 2010 has been designed in different colorways that have at least caused sneakerheads to reevaluate this silhouette- such as the pair in university blue. Another colorway releasing this year is the one pictured here, nicknamed the “Welcome Home.” One way in which Jordan Brand has welcomed D-Wade home is by designing a shirt that last year popped up on eBay. Now the same saying can be found on the soles of this AJ 2010, which sports a JB classic white/varsity red-black colorway. You can surely expect D.Wade to hit the hardwood floors in a couple of pairs of the Air Jordan 2010 after it officially releases next month. Stay tuned for official release information regarding this pair once we get word of any.

Air Jordan Icons “Jordan Brand Classic”

Filed Under (Air Jordan) by sneaker-mag on 28-01-2010

Air Jordan Icons Jordan Brand Classic
Towards the tail end of last year the Air Jordan Icons made respectable noise in the sneaker realm, with many people singing its praises regardless of the fact that it’s obviously not part of the signature Air Jordan sneaker series. In fact, the Air Jordan Icons was also used as part of a collection of Oak Hill Academy Player Exclusives designed for the lucky institution. The Air Jordan Icons here sports a somewhat patriotic color palette, as the upper comes in a predominantly white and blue perforated combination. Then a slight touch of red can be spotted on the shoe laces area and tongue, completing the trio of colors that the American flag is made of. While a release date is not yet set in stone, you can find some pairs available now from select Jordan Brand retailers overseas.
