Converse Wool Sneakers
Well, now that summer’s over and everybody’s already thinking of the cold weather ahead, it looks like the old summer sandals aren’t going to cut it.
Fortunately, Converse has thought of a way that will help you look cool and feel warm at the same time.
How?

Well, they teamed up with Woolrich to create a brand new Converse wool sneaker that will get you through the rough winter looking your best.
They look great and they have the classic Chuck Taylor label to prove it. They come in both low and high tops.

From what I’ve seen, there are two models that came out of this partnership: A Converse Wool sneaker and a Woolrich Converse boot (seen in the picture above).
I found a pair of converse wool sneakers here. Take a look and grab them fast if you’re into Chucks.

Puma and Adidas To End 60 Year Old Conflict

Puma and Adidas To End 60 Year Old Conflict
Sports goods giants Puma and Adidas were founded by two German brothers, Rudolf and Adi Dassler over 60 years ago. They both started manufacturing sneakers in the 1920’s in their mother’s home, and experienced quite numerous successes.
They stopped working together though during the Second World Was, probably due to political differences. So they both founded two different companies on the two sides of a river in Germany and went on to become global firms and strong adversaries. Rudolf founded Puma in 1948 and Adi turned his Adidas brand into a synonym with high performance ports apparel.
When the split was made, the town also split in two different camps, each loyal to their respective employer.

Today, none of Adi or Rudolf’s descendants controls the firms and the sports giants are about to close this 60 year old rivalry with the first joint activity that will be a football match between the employees of the two firms.
I’m curious if this match will give birth to more joint activities of will transform into an even a more powerful rivalry.
To find outmore about the feud between the two brothers, go read Sneaker Wars: The Enemy Brothers Who Founded Adidas and Puma and the Family Feud That Forever Changed the Business of Sports.
It’s a great book that will make you further understand the world of global sports apparel manufacturers.

AC-DC Converse Sneakers

ACDC Converse Sneakers
I just came from the United States where I had the best time! Two months traveling and spending time on the beach… priceless.
Well, I went to New York for six days and, after visiting the whole city, I had to go shopping for sneakers and stuff.
You can’t imagine my surprise when I entered Foot Locker or Famous Footwear, not sure, and ran into a pair of AC-DC sneakers. I was shocked. They’re one of my favorite bands and I instantly fell in love with these shoes.
Well, unfortunately and to my disappointment, they didn’t have my size! Yeah, that really sucked and I felt like smashing something. Thank god I found a pair of Ozzy Osbourne sneakers or I would have probably made some damage in there.

The sneakers are awesome. They feature a picture of the band on the sides and the well known logo on the sole. Ah, what a shame I couldn’t get them.
I’m not 16 anymore, but having a pair of AC-DC shoes would have definitely been great when hanging out with fellow rockers. The Ozzy’s I bought aren’t bad either, but these would have been my favorite.
You can find the AC DC sneakers right here! Don’t loose this chance!
